Ask:

Have you ever had a crazy dream? What crazy dream did Jacob have? (a ladder between heaven and earth with angels going up and down on it)
Why does God’s promise to Jacob sound so familiar? (It was the same promise given to Abraham) (Gen. 15:1-6) What did Jacob realize when he awoke? (The Lord was present) (v. 16)
How is God’s promise to Jacob ultimately fulfilled? (Jesus is the ladder between heaven and earth) (John 1:43-51)

Pray:

God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, we often forget that You are always with us. Even in the midst of the night, may we rest in Your presence. Jesus, You alone are our heavenly ladder by which we can be with God. Thank You for keeping Your promises to us and making a way for us to be with You forever. Amen.
